About Ian Brown

About:

Ian & Sophie
Magic

Ian is really just a magician’s assistant….the real magic star is his little dog Sophie.

Sophie was a problem dog. When she was only 6 months old she was sent to the RSPCA animal sanctuary as she was so badly behaved. She was there for 6 months. People came and took other dogs home, but nobody wanted Sophie, apart from one person who did take her home, but then took her back to the RSPCA again because of her behaviour. Not a good start to life.

When Ian & Sophie got together in March 2009 they went to WAG Dog Training Club in Fence, where this badly behaved dog passed her Bronze, Silver & Gold Kennel Club Awards.

At the same time Ian & Sophie took up learning magic and in December 2009 were accepted into the Bradford Magic Circle.

Since then, this little dog that nobody wanted has been featured over 20 times in newspapers throughout Lancashire & Yorkshire, even had her photograph on a front page, been on a newspaper advertising banner twice, had a full centre fold feature, three times had 2 hour long photo-shoots by news-agencies. She has appeared on BBC TV Northwest Tonight, played Toto in the Wizard Of Oz, been in concert with Settle Orchestra as well as numerous other performances, many to raise funds for the RSPCA home where she came from to give other dogs like her their chance of a better life. She has also given of her services to numerous charity and community groups.

Sophie got through to the 2nd round of Britain’s Got Talent and appeared at The Manchester Opera House in front of an audience of over 2000. However she was kept so busy all day with filmed interviews that both she and Ian were totally worn out by the time they went on stage and things went sadly wrong.

She has been interviewed by Ant & Dec, (two really lovely guys) and Stephen Mulhern, the magician and TV presenter. Sophie’s magic act is unique, Stephen knows of no other dog magician anywhere, which must then mean that Sophie is the best Canine Magic act in the world!

Not bad for a little problem dog that nobody wanted for six months……truly, Sophie is…

The Wizard Of Dogz!
