Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Bradford Magic Circle, one of the largest and most successful in Great Britain. The Circle has had many famous magicians as members since forming in 1948 and welcomes all those interested in developing 'The Art of Magic’. We hold monthly meetings throughout the year, including:
Special appearances by International Magicians. Every month we publish "The Billet", an excellent magazine featuring news, reviews and tricks. There is also an extensive library of magic books available to members free of charge.
It would be most helpful if you could complete and return the Application Form, to enable the initial assessment to take place. On receipt of the application the Committee will assess the information you provided. The second stage is a brief audition, which if passed allows the Committee to offer Full or Associate Membership.
Full Membership is offered to those who can demonstrate skill or experience in any area of magic or the allied arts. A full Member can attend all the monthly meetings. In addition, full Members are allowed to vote at the Annual General Meeting.
Associate Membership may be offered to those with a keen interest in magic or the allied arts but who may not yet be able to demonstrate the required level of experience. Associate Members can attend most of the monthly meetings with the exception of certain lectures, etc. Associate Members cannot vote at the Annual General Meeting. After 12 months, a brief assessment will be made with a view to awarding Full Membership.
