Following Keith's question in last months Billet and the discussion at the AGM regarding whether the Billet should continue to be produced every month, I feel that as a committee member I should hopefully 'start the ball rolling' and that others will follow suit. I'm sure all of you will agree that the billet is an important part of the Bradford Magic Circle. It is highly rated by other societies and professional magicians around the country/world; therefore personally I would hate to see it disappear from the club. As everyone will appreciate, it is a job that very few of us could do and therefore as a society, members should try and make Keith’s job as easy as possible (after all he is getting on a bit now!) As the clubs librarian I see a regular number of books being taken out throughout the year. Why not do a review on a particular book that you have borrowed or even better do one on a book from your own collection. This may even lead us into purchasing a copy for the clubs library. I am looking shortly into introducing a feedback form that I will ask members returning books to fill in. It will be nothing too difficult because the likes of Steve Naylor, Stevie B and Melvyn occasionally borrow books, so I will need to try and keep it simple!
