The Annual General Meeting is almost upon us and so it’s time to be thinking of matters you’d like to have added to the agenda. One of which of course will be electing our next President Elect as Melvyn takes on the office of President. To put somebody forward as a nominee for President Elect, you must have their consent. The committee will as always attempt to produce a proposal for the position but that may be repealed by the membership as stated in the Rules and Constitution.
Please note that there is no deadline for any matters you wished to have discussed at the AGM. However, if they are not added to the agenda, they will have to wait until any other business.
There is also the opportunity to serve as a committee for Full members or even take on a position such as Secretary, Editor, and Librarian. None of the above officers I’m sure would mind having a second nomination put forward for the above or any other positions. Incidentally, none of the above has indicated that they wish to step down.
Finally on the AGM, I must apologise for misplacing my notes from the AGM 2004. I have my scribbles that were taken at the meeting but not the tidier notes made after the meeting. I would hope that collectively, we will be able to amend any errors in the minutes of the AGM 2004.
