Hello Wizards, It was an enjoyable night on November 5th when we held our Trick or Treat evening. The idea was to perform one of the effects from the many proffered in the Billet over many years. It was a good exercise and we didn’t see the same trick twice. Keith even brought down all the Billets and almost all of the Circle’s magazines that preceded it, having only a couple maybe three of four missing. Quite a collection. We had a quick look through some of them and found it a delightful trip down some of memory lane. Understandably, Keith will not be bringing the set with him each meeting so unfortunately if you weren’t able to be there, you missed out. Keith went in search of the first Billet he produced. We looked in the diary of that issue and saw coming up was a Roadshow at St. James Church, Thornton! Skipping a couple of editions, we found a report from the show penned by Melvyn. The report began by explaining that Keith had stepped into compere the show at short notice and he also had to leave early. There’s not a lot changed there then! There weren’t many there at the meeting as expected but those who were took part and the evening was a lot of fun. I hope the same can be said about Show Night, this evening. As some may be aware, this was initially put together by Henry Norris. I later offered to take over as he would not be able to attend the evening. It should be fun. And that takes us up to Christmas. Have a good one and I’ll see you in the New Year. Till then, TA-RAAA!!! |
