Nose for Magic | Tuesday, 3 April 2001 Stilt walking and magical illusion are just some of the exciting things which can be seen on stage at Haycliffe Special School tomorrow. Youngsters are putting on a performance of "The Circus in the Mirror", a musical production written by performing arts teacher Damian Shalks. Mr Shalks said; "It took my most of last summer to write it and I had individual students in mind. It's written for thier abilities and involves magic illusion and music and has a circus theme." The show is open to the public tomorrow evening and tickets, costing £1 for adults and 50p for children, are available from the school by ringing (01274 576123) or at the door. Other schools in Bradford have been invited to an afternoon performance on Thursday. Before the show Bradford Singer Michaela will entertain the audience. |
