Presidential

I am writing this report on a sun-lounger on the deck of the Sea Princess somewhere in the Caribbean. Its 10 30am with blue skies and a temperature of 90 degrees. To keep cool I have just had a glass of ice and water followed by ice and orange. Saturday we will be in Jamaica and home on Sunday. I hope this article reaches Keith before the Billet deadline.

On board ship we had entertainment every night, four of which were occupied by magicians. First was Tony Stevens, although not much magic as his act now is comprised of jokes and finishes with the bandanna trick. Next were RIchard Griffin and Haley Jane. They had two evening shows first was an illusion act; their second being more intimate with silks, ropes, cards etc. The third was comedy magician Andy Leach. He used props such as sponge bananas, Rocky Racoon, the third hand , etc. All received good reviews.

This is my last contribution as President and I have enjoyed every minute. It does not seem like a year ago since I took over from Henry although it may seem like an eternity to some of the members. I can assure you all however that I have done my best to promote the club in a responsible manner with a touch of humour. I will have to think of a couple of jokes for our Friday meeting where you can applaud loudly or give me the standard heckle.

On a final note I would like wish Nick Mohammed every success as our next President.
