The Bradford Magic Circle needs YOU for video shoot!! Now that’s got your attention. As you may know next year is the 60th anniversary of the Circle and we are holding an exhibition and demonstrations of magic at the Bradford Industrial Museum. Even Amythest are getting involved. I have been charged with the job of producing a video which will run on the exhibit when members are not performing there. I want to film a variety of magicians through the ages. We could have a scruffy street magician conning his was through life. A sophisticated stage act featuring grand illusion. Also we can’t forget the amateur performing for his family and friends in the home or workplace. I would like the performing magicians to look as if they are performing in various periods. We could have a scruffy street swindler, an evening dressed magician performing on stage, and an ordinary chap performing close up magic at home or work. All sorts of magic could be shown. I would like this video to feature BMC members, possibly dressed in costumes to suit the period doing tricks and swindles that were typical of the period. The video will be silent in the form of a silent film so no jokes, clever patter or long winded explanations are required, just good silent tricks and manipulation. I would very much like to feature as many members as possible, so if you think you can help please let me know. Filming will probably be done at weekends and evenings. I only want you to perform a trick of your choice and then go – no hanging about. Don’t worry if you make a mistake, this is video remember and we can re-take as many times as you like. Of course all those taking part will get a credit on the end of the video. If you could possible help please, please come and have a chat. The video has to be finished for March 2008 so we have not got a lot of time. I hope we can include lots of members as the video will obviously go into the archives as a permanent record of members and activities in 2008. |
