Hello Fellow Magicians I hope you have all had another good month in magic. Before I start please remember it is getting very near the annual dinner so if you have not let me or the committee know how many tickets you want please do so tonight or in the next couple of days. Just remember that David & Victoria Beckham, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, and Peter & Jordan declined their invites but that should not stop you. I don’t know how many of you do kids magic, but I had a great party the other day. At the end of the show I finished with a trick that Ken Mitchell showed me, where you give one of the children a 1 in 4 chance of winning a fantastic prize. After showing them that they had not won the smelly old sock or used tissue I gave them the pack of polo’s they did win, however after having a bit of banter with the kid in question they ended up swapping the polos for the other prize, which was a box of chocolates. Anyway at the end of the trick I revealed that the polos really had a £20 note inside, which resulted in the little girl leaving the stage in tears. So all in all it was a great ending to performing the show for the little horrors. To end with I hope the competition goes well tonight, thank you to the members that stood up to do a spot.
