With sponges, coins and cards galore,
But no six card repeat to pick from the floor! 1st up our guest, its Andy from Gloucester,
Bet many of you thought, who is this imposter!
Aces in pockets, wait a minute there kings,
This was just one of many amazing things. Next up was dear old Stevie B,
With his display of silver coins to interest me.
With a flick of his wrist, coins swapped and changed places,
You should have seen the look upon people’s faces.
Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse,
I’ve decided to give Stevie one extra verse!
Will this be a record where he’ll finish on time?
Or was Paul on the stopwatch his partner in crime? Now it was Mark with his charisma and charm,
Who had our eyes firmly, fixed on his palm.
Out popped his rabbits; they didn’t need feeding,
He had us all fooled cos they seemed to be breeding!
Mummy and daddy made babies so fast,
Producing one large bunny solved the problem at last! Now here comes Michael Woodhead,ithout cards he’s at a loss,
But produces 4 aces with the aid of young Ross.
A chosen signed card vanished in front of your face,
Where did it end up?…where else but the case! Last but not least was Steven my bro.,
I’ve always considered him as some kind of pro!
Producing 2 bottles of both red and white wine,
If only I was judging, I’m sure they’d be mine!
I cannot be bias, but it’s hard not to be,
Cos he’s been showing me tricks, since he was about 3! Well done to all who tried their very best,
But with only 4 competitors where were the rest?
Whether you’re amateur, professional or just do it for fun,
Give it a go or it will cease to be run. So who’ll be the winner in this year’s event?
The judges all gathered and away they went.
The scores will have been close, that I’ll be sure,
We eagerly await them to come out of that door. They deliberate the results over a nice cup of tea.
Will it be Steve, Mike, Mark or that Stevie B?
At last the results are announced out loud,
And every performer can feel very proud. In second place is Mark,
To a round of applause,
But im happier to say,
1st goes to the Gores!
