Hello Wizards, This month I thought I'd do a composite of my two regular pages as I've quite a bit on. First of all, well done to all those that took part to make the Competition Night the success it was, not forgetting the backstage and sound crew of Paul Sunderland and Peter Wright. I was meant to be in it myself but realised too late that the event was on the day we got back from our Jollies. Still it was nice to have a night off and watch the show instead. Yes show, after all it was much more than a Competition wasn't it? Congratulations to Ross on winning both competitions and to Mark who pushed into second place in both. The committee had taken the decision to open up the competition so that there was no longer a Junior Senior divide. The competitions are now open to MAGICIANS and performers of our allied arts – period! I think this is a good stride in the right direction. Come the October meeting, many of us will be returning from Southport and the British Ring Convention. There are many BMC members who attend this enjoyable convention and this year we will be watching some of the NMC Juniors along with others performing in their own show that has been put together by Cynthia Neptune. Amongst them are some of out own members. Ross Risdon will be introducing as compere Darren McDonald and Lauren Stringwell among others. I'm really looking forward to it. News just in is that Jon (Jonty) and Liz Harris have had a baby boy, Samuel. All are doing well. Other news and a quick well done goes to Ann Manning, Joe's mum who recently ran in and completed the Great North Run in 2 hours 19 minutes, to raise funds for a very worthy charity, Candle lighters. Well done, Ann. Now recently I got an e-mail at my workstation that listed a chart with which to form a new name for yourselves. All you need to do is firstly take the third letter from your first name (st-E-phen) to determine your first new name from the list below. A = Snickle B = Doombah C = Goober D = Cheesey E = Crusty F = Greasy G = Dumbo H = Farcus I = Dorky J = Doofus K = Funky L = Boobie M = Sleezy | N = Sloopy O = Fluffy P = Stinky Q = Slimy R = Dorfus S = Snooty T = Tootsie U = Dipsy V = Sneezy W = Liver X = Skippy Y = Dinky Z = Zippy | Now take the second letter of you surname (b-E-llerby) to determine for the first part of your new surname again from the list below. A = Dippin B = Feather C = Batty D = Burger E = Chicken F = Barffy G = Lizard H = Waffle I = Farkle J = Monkey K = Flippin L = Fricken M = Bubble | N = Rhino O = Potty P = Hamster Q = Buckle R = Gizzard S = Lickin T = Snickle U = Chuckle V = Pickle W = Hubble X = Dingle Y = Gorilla Z = Girdle | Finally, use the third letter of you surname (be-L-lerby) to determine the second half of you new surname from the list below. A = Butt B = Boob C = Face D = Nose E = Hump F = Breath G = Pants H = Shorts I = Lips J = Honker K = Head L = Tush M = Chunks | N = Dunkin O = Brains P = Biscuits Q = Toes R = Doodle S = Fanny T = Sniffer U = Sprinkle V = Frack W = Squirt X = Humperdinck Y = Hiney Z = Juice | So as an example, George W. Bush's new name becomes Fluffy Chuckle-Fanny! Try it, it's fun. You never know, Keith may feel inclined to tweak the names of your Committee members on the back page so that they'd read;- Boobie Waffle-Butt, Sloopy Potty-Doodle, Dorky Farkle-Face, Snickle Potty-Boob, Crusty and Goober Potty-Doodle, Dipsy Chuckle-Dunkin, Crusty Gizzard-Lips and Tootsie Gizzard-Lips! Well it's almost time for me to go as I'll be starting to pack ready for Southport, where I'm looking forward to seeing a show in which Snooty Farkle-Fanny will introduce amongst others, Dorfus Batty-Nose and Dipsy Snickle-Doodle in a show produced by Sloopy Chicken-Biscuits. Well thanks for reading and until next time TA-RAAA!!! CRUSTY CHICKEN-TUSH. |
