The original Blackpool & Fylde Mystics Society was formed in 1958. Among the 'founding fathers' were Laurie Gleeson and Ken Ashburn who have been honoured with Life Vice Presidencies of the re-formed Society.

The Bradford Magic Circle was formed in 1948 after a advertisement in the Telegraph and Argus. Since then The Bradford Magic Circle has seen hundreds of magicians go from strength to strength performing this visual and entertaining art form.
